The Guardian offers short-term writing and journalism courses. They’re quite expensive and you’d have to pay for accommodation, travel costs etc. since it’s based in London. Still, I’d be interested to know what I could gain from such a course, except lighter pockets!
I think this is why speculative applications are so important. Articulate yourself towards the employer directly through your own channel as opposed to via a job site.
